File Defence

File Defence combines explicit selected-file scanning with browser-granted folder workflows. The enhanced scanner calculates SHA-256 and applies the same bounded local executable/signature and malware-risk rules used by the Hybrid Pro file engines.

Selected files

You choose the files. The enhanced runtime accepts individual files up to 80 MB per scan item. The original home-dashboard scanner is a separate bounded local workflow and does not turn the browser into an unrestricted device scanner.

User-granted protected folders

On compatible browsers, Choose Protected Folder uses the File System Access directory picker. Omega can enumerate up to 1,000 files from the granted folder tree for the current workflow. Scan Granted Folder runs local analysis; Start Live Folder Watch periodically rescans the granted handle while the PWA remains open and the browser continues to permit access.

Online and vault actions

Online Deep Scan remains explicit and connection-dependent. Scanner results can be copied into the local File, Malware or Virus Vault. Browser quarantine does not silently remove or alter the original operating-system file.
